True Peace
Jesus said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27) Peace, or the lack of it, is on the minds of many around the world as wars and rumors of wars devastate millions. Those that remain in darkness should be afraid. Jesus’ return is imminent, and sadly they’re on the highway to Hell. God’s people can’t be afraid! We’ve got a job to do. We must be yielded to and empowered by the Holy Spirit. May we boldly go to the throne of grace to pray for the lost, and then go proclaim the Gospel of Peace!

On The Road
Dave has been travelling most of the past few months. Half of his time has been spent in churches sharing about our new ministry to help Asians launch and develop Gospel mission efforts to those who have never heard and who don’t have hope or peace. We’re thankful for how we’ve been received. Churches have been so gracious in supporting and encouraging us as we look forward to returning to Asia.
Enjoying great opportunities to build relationships with students.
The rest of our time has been focused on impacting college students and young adults. Dave has enjoyed teaching and presenting workshops on college campuses, challenging students to go to the hard places to make disciples and plant churches. We’ve had great opportunities to build relationships and encourage the next generation.
Some of Our Favorite People
In between trips, we’re busy catching up on administrative duties at the home office and enjoying opportunities to visit with missionaries who are on furlough. Our hearts are stirred, challenged, and refreshed by their fellowship. Several of our missionaries are facing intense situations. Some are enduring the ongoing grief and loss of spouses. Some are facing tough decisions regarding ministries in Haiti, devastated by gangs and violence. One is shepherding and serving in the middle of conflict in the West Bank. Pray for God’s grace to give them wisdom, strength, and fruit in the midst of adversity.
Thankful for opportunities to connect with ODBM missionaries.
Going East
We continue to pray and lay the foundation for our future ministry in Asia. Pray for Dave as he teaches and preaches on missions in South Asia the next couple of weeks. Pray for safety and wisdom to serve and encourage Asian national missionaries. Pray for open doors as we strive to connect with new prayer and financial partners.

Family Update
Shawn’s plate is full and over-flowing as she serves in many capacities and is enrolled in grad school courses. She recently enjoyed the opportunity to speak in a women’s conference in Arizona. Abby continues to teach high school English to deaf and blind students. She’s enrolled in grad school as well. Sydney is back in school getting her paralegal training with hopes of it opening doors in Japan next year. Thanks for praying for Hayley! She’s fully recovered from her concussion and traumatic brain injury. She’s considering new school options as well. Pray for wisdom and God’s continued leading for our girls! Thanks for faithfully holding the ropes for our family.
Praise the Lord with us,
Dave & Shawn
