Update from Indonesia

"As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country." (Proverbs 25:25) Below is some encouraging news from Indonesia that we trust will be a blessing to you. Our ministry is partnering with Asian churches and ministries through training and project assistance to help them advance the Gospel to the unreached peoples around them. This enables us to share with you how God is at work through His Church to declare His glory to the nations. (Psalm 96)
GRAPHE ministries is an indigenous ministry founded by Dr. & Mrs. Liauw in Jakarta many years ago. God has blessed their vision and faithfulness with spiritual and numerical growth. Their two adult sons, Steven and Andrew, and their wives serve together with them and are key leaders in the ministries.
When political and religious pressure caused concern for the church and ministries in Jakarta, the Liauws decided to reproduce the ministries at a rural location on a different island - Borneo. God's blessing has resulted in a church, orphanage, Christian school and a Bible College operating at both locations today under the Liauws' leadership. Expansion of the urban campus in Jakarta is difficult due to being land-locked and high costs, but the rural campus and ministries on Borneo are growing!

In addition to the church, orphanage, Christian School and Bible College, the campus also hosts a chicken farm and small businesses that operate to help cover the operating expenses of the ministries. Due to growth in the ministries they've built a multi-purpose, outdoor recreational facility to be used in the educational ministries and for outreach in the community. The current church building is being repurposed as a Middle School building and they are in the process of building a new, larger church building to meet the needs of the growing church and ministries. Pray with us for $10,000 needed to complete the new church building and for the campus to continue being a lighthouse for the Gospel and to train the next generation to be faithful followers of Christ.
Indonesia has the largest population of Muslims of any country in the world. It ranks 3rd behind India and Pakistan in having the most unreached people who have yet to receive the Gospel. Sadly, most of its population will live their lives without ever meeting a Christian. This is why the Liauws have established Graphe ministries. Their passion and focus are to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples of Christ and then train those disciples (young and old) to go as laborers among the unreached harvest fields of Indonesia to make new disciples and plant new churches.
It's been our joy to pray for the Liauws and partner with them in small ways to help them impact Indonesia by training and preparing the next generation to love and serve Christ. We love sharing with you how Christ is at work building His Church among the nations for His glory. Pray with us for God's wisdom, provision and blessing for the Graphe ministries to declare God's salvation and marvelous works in Indonesia.
