Our ministry is serving Asian churches through missions and Christian education training to help them send Asian laborers to some of the toughest and darkest regions of the world. Through our partnerships, we receive regular updates from those serving on the front lines of Gospel advance. We're excited to share these updates with you so that you can be rejoicing and praying with us!
Undisclosed Region
A new sewing school held its first graduation recently. This sewing school has been instrumental in making disciples in a very restricted, unreached region that we can't name. Below is an exciting report from the ministry leader:
Praise God for the profound transformation that has taken place within these precious lives! We rejoice in the powerful work of the Holy Spirit, who has moved hearts to repentance and faith. Five students have confessed their sins and joyfully embraced Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Pray as these new believers along with others will be engaging in 40 days of new believer discipleship training starting next month. We've seen firsthand the incredible challenges that new believers face in this region. Pray for God's transforming work to continue in their lives and that the seed of God's Word will produce lasting fruit for His glory.
Special Prayer Request: Dave is planning to be in this region this fall to help teach and train new laborers. While he has a visa to enter the country, he may need a special permit to visit the particular region. Pray for God's wisdom, provision and leading!
Indonesia
Thank you for your prayers for the ongoing church building project in Indonesia. Since our last update, God has provided another $6,000 for the project through your generosity. Please continue to pray for the completion of the project. Pray especially for the students and young adults being discipled by Graphe Ministries through the orphanage, Christian School and Bible college. Pray for the Lord to raise up and call new laborers to advance the Gospel in their own country to those who have never heard the Good News!
Myanmar
So much is happening in Myanmar! Multiple families have come to Christ from among the Enn people. These new believers were expelled from their homes and villages. God has enabled Antioch International Mission (an indigenous national mission agency) to establish a new village and plant a church for these displaced young believers. AIM has also discovered a previously unidentified people group in which they've begun evangelistic efforts. Below is an overview of AIM's gospel efforts in Myanmar:
Praise the Lord for the professions of faith among the 16 people groups in which AIM laborers are serving. Pray for the ongoing 40-days of discipleship seminars (multiple locations) that new believers will be rooted and grounded in God's Word. Pray for the construction of a new multi-purpose building at the AIM Training Center which will be the primary facility for discipleship and missionary training. About $15,000 is needed for this project. Pray for the Lord of the harvest to call new laborers into the needy fields.
Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Last but definitely not least is PNG! The Simbai churches (remote rural region) held their 4th annual combined missions conference. They are targeting 4 new areas and sending families to either help revitalize existing churches or plant new ones. Pray for wisdom and good health for Pastor Steve who helps lead the Christian school, Bible institute and mission ministries. A new mission has been organized by churches in the capital city and plans are being made to hold a missions conference next year. Pray for God's wisdom and provision for these churches in launching and growing indigenous mission efforts.
